Could not fault the Swissotel - it was fantastic. Location is unbeatable.

It was my sister's birthday that weekend, and I'd booked a hotel staycation for us and mum to spend some time together. The check-in staff was extremely astute. Upon receiving our identification cards for registration, she immediately gleaned that it was my sister's birthday and on the quiet, she arranged for a birthday cake to be sent up to our room at a time of our convenience. Also, when she found out that we were mostly planning on staying in the room and watching DVDs (I'd asked if it was possible to borrow a player from the hotel, since our room didn't come with one) and she so kindly offered us a room upgrade to one that came with a DVD player since occupancy that weekend wasn't very high. The room was lovely, decorated with little Asian touches, which gave it a certain character compared to other regular hotel rooms. But other than the usual creature comforts, it really was the personal touch that made this hotel stand out for us, and that made all the difference.

Amazing hotel!! Everyone should experience the roof-top pool as it feels like you are on top of the world! Fabulous views, great rooms and superb location within walking distance to all kinds of restaurants, shopping and local features.

Hotel was extremely nice, it was a pleasure having breakfast with someone playing the piano, it set the mood for the day, relaxing.

absolutely perfect location, [3rd time i have stayed there]. excellent for families travelling with children and a very nice breakfast to start your day with. waterbomb park right accross the road along with numerous ATM machines.

Hotel is well located in Central Jakarta - close to shopping malls and good dining options. This is ideal given Jakarta's gruesome traffic. The more you can do on foot - the better off you'll be. Expect long traffic jams to go to and from anywhere. Rooms are relatively "tight" - meaning that they are not necessarily spacious - very european.Staff is very friendly, although English speaking can be a challenge sometimes. A lot tends to get lost in translation. Place has a great restaurant and bar -- not cheap though. Expect to pay about $30 for dinner - without alcoholic bevs

Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. And staff are courteous and very helpful.
