Hotel was fabulous, and the room had an amazing view.
But, the service was a disaster. When we arrived, there were two people doing check-in; there was a bit of a line-up, which is inconvenient but not unexpected. Later that night, when we came down to inquire about the breakfast, there was only one person doing check-in, and we had to wait the whole time while three other people were checked-in just to ask a question about breakfast, which the person could not answer anyway. That was pretty infuriating, and we were exhausted after a long night out. I am pretty sure there is an information desk, but it was never staffed when I was there. Then, the billing is a nightmare. Numerous charges went onto my credit card, then I got a receipt via email with charges only some of which corresponded to the amounts on my credit card. I assume a bunch of charges will eventually drop off my credit card, but I will have to watch to make sure that is so. But, in the end, I have no way of telling if the final amount billed to my credit card that did correspond to the overall amount on my receipt was correct, as it is impossible to make heads or tails of what the charges (codes) mean. Who knows what I have been billed for? I recently traveled up through Detroit to Chicago to Milwaukee and stayed in hotels all along the way, and the bills were all straight forward. Administratively, Marriott was a disaster.
