My husband and I stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro from April 27 to May 4 to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary.
The resort itself is beautiful. The pools and beach were great, and the food exceeded our expectations. The steaks at the restaurants were fantastic, and the restaurant staff provided excellent service.
Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by an issue at check-in. A front desk employee named Daniel told us multiple times that we needed to purchase the Adults Only upgrade to dine at El Asador restaurant. Based on that information, we paid for the upgrade.
Later, we learned from other guests and front desk staff that El Asador is available to all adult guests without the upgrade.
Had we been given accurate information, we would not have purchased it. Despite raising the issue at checkout and through multiple emails afterward, the resort refused any refund or compensation.
Great resort, disappointing customer service when an issue arises."
