"This hotel seems to be a hidden gem. It was amazing. Lots of history in the place, it was like staying in a museum. You could spend a day just exploring the hotel. People were incredible, friendly, helpful, I felt like a friend and not just a guest. The room I had was well appointed, with the usual, things. TV, safe, desk chairs, large bed on the firmer side and very comfortable. The shower had no water saving mechanism that I could tell, felt full on pressure. I forgot what that was...

"Although expensive, our room was nice and very comfortable! I have never had such great sleep, as I did at this hotel! Valet was nice and bell desk was wonderful! Room service food, was a 3. Vegan burger was wet, fries were cold. The margherita pizza was burnt and not edible. All in all the $1G that I spent for the weekend was worth it."

"I really liked the hotel and staff. Everyone is enthusiastic, helpful and courteous. The hotel is clean and well-appointed but in the midst of updating. Only one working elevator when we were there but that didn’t cause any undue delays for us. I would recommend adding a spare blanket to the closet for guests that might feel the need for a bit of extra warmth at night or just some added heft to the bedding. Super location to many venues and superb fine dining in downtown SF."

"Stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our visit. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and kind and the location was in a very good spot for our needs and seemed safe."

"Wonderful stay! The only downfall was not being clearly labeled and visible from the street. I would not have guessed that we would have to enter a door that was labeled as a restaurant. To have to take another “loop” around the block, takes so long because it can’t actually be around one block, to almost miss it again, but thank God I could just back up that time. Would definitely stay again and now that I know, I know how and where to check in."

"Rooms did not reflect what were shown in the photos in the website. Bathroom was extremely small, and water sprayed out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. Room service did not come around until very late in the day (one evening at 5:30 PM)."
