Poor lobby staff service with noisy room.
When we checked in at 6:22pm in the evening…a male lobby staff unenthusiastically greeted us and helped us check in and brought us to Villa 11. After explaining mini bars and the power control for the AC, he forgot to mention the complicated light switches, including the DND switch. So my husband and I went through all the eight physical switches in both the bedroom and bathroom, and figured out a somewhat lightless room for sleep. In the following day, we left the hotel around 4:30pm to go into Ubud city center with a local for dinner and drinks and we returned to our hotel around 10pm, where I picked up our door key from the lobby receptionist. As we opened the wooden doors in the villa entrance, we returned to a pitch-back villa. We thought we were burglarized but it was only because our room wasn’t turned down for the evening. Our bathroom was unkempt from daytime and the back spa room sliding door was wide open with bugs found in the bathroom. We immediately expressed our discontent and confusion to the manager on duty, after apologizing and giving us 6 pieces of canapés as a token of apology, we wined down the evening. The next morning after finishing our breakfasts, we saw the hotel manager greeting the couple sitting next to our table and chit-chatted about if the rooms were adequate to the guests, but he manges to skip our table, not sure if the evening manager on duty has relayed our ordeal in the precious night or not.

This property is in a beautiful location & is good if you want to visit savaya but it’s 2 or 3 nights maximum but it does have major service issues: Clear shortage of staff in all front of house areas. Often waiting for someone to attend to you. Lack of recognisable reception or concierge really doesn’t help. Staff often confused if breakfast is or isn’t included. Also, Breakfast menu changes daily which clearly creates quality control issues in the food because a lot of the dishes are poorly conceived and executed. Worst breakfast I had in the 6 hotels I visited in Bali. Going back to basics with 2 or 3 daily specials would massively improve service, along with making it inclusive for all market's. We ordered two glasses of champagne for dinner, cold glasses turned up but champagne was over 15 minutes later and then total confusion between all 5 waiting staff what to do because they realised glasses were no longer cold. It took over 20 minutes to get 2 glasses of champagne. Staff vanished for over 15 minutes in the sunset bar, we just left without signing. What became obvious during my stay is the hotel has a lot of weddings & I think this leads to the staff shortages and quality issues. Everyone is trying to service the hotel & the wedding at the same time. Hotel just needs a new GM as the issues all come from the top. Staff clearly not well trained & organised. For reference, I stayed with a friend & we travel the world in the best 5 star hotels.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful resort. The team was so welcoming and ensured that we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food at both restaurants - cire & the warung - were fantastic.

Amazing venue. Staff were very friendly and appeared to be willing to help but unfortunately consistently under delivered. Apart from two staff the rest were unfortunately we’re very poorly trained. Unbelievably slow service - slowest I have ever experienced in Asia - a simple drink took 45 mins to arrive. 30 mins for a menu to arrive after sitting down at the restaurant. All of the wine was clearly kept poorly - flat champagne for example. Which is a shame as the quality of the food was excellent as was the accommodation, if a little tired. Simple basic training would go a long way and make this place worth the money. There are other cheaper places with better service next door.

The property is absolutely spectacular and we were treated with then utmost care. Randu took extra special care with us at breakfast which mad every morning that much better than the next. One feedback, property to look at increasing the experiences offered - aligned to their sustainability mission. Overall incredible and would absolutely recommend it!

A superb hotel, excellent staff and facilities. However it’s located very close to Omnia dayclub which plays very loud music from about 1-8pm. This hampered the relaxation around the pool villa as felt like a rave was happening next door.

My favourite resort so far: amazing views, picture-perfect beach, very attentive staff, the best spa experience, great attention to detail. Please build handrails for the 600 steps to the beach to avoid unwanted accidents. An elevator or tram to the beach (like they have at Ayana Resort) would be perfect, though.

Sublime Sophistication
My husband and our 19 year old daughter shared an enormous one bedroom villa at Alila and had a sublime time. Decor, service, food, activities, spa and staff are all fantastic. A little far from shopping in Seminyak requiring a day trip. Recommend the cooking class as you also eat your cooked meal. Suggest getting a villa with an ocean view, not too high as can hear music from neighbouring Omnia if on top levels, and close to main facilities. We will stay again.

Truly mind blowing !
Alila Uluwatu was the most beautiful resort we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The design and layout is simply stunning and it’s position on the edge of the Indian Ocean is awe inspiring. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with our son which was incredibly spacious and well appointed, the view of the ocean is only partial and is far away but the surroundings and design of the outdoor area is so beautiful, it didn’t matter. The staff are so attentive, genuine and warm , it was very hard to say goodbye to them when we left . The food is excellent in both restaurants and the poolside menu has everything you would want it to have . The breakfasts are an absolute treat and the menu changes completely every day. The quality and setting of the sunset cabana and it’s wonderful cocktails were a sublime way to end the day. Complimentary yoga is held everyday by a very accomplished Yogi in an elevated pavilion over looking the ocean and listening to the waves crashing as we meditated , was an inspirational way to start our day. Our stay at Alila started with an upset with our airport transfer but the hotel manager went above and beyond to compensate for the mishap and went absolutely out of his way to ensure that this didn’t spoil our stay. Our 5 nights in Alila Uluwatu will be forever in our memories as a truly wonderful experience, thank you 🙏

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. We especially want to thank all of the staff, including Made and Ngurah, the ladies in the front, the breakfast crew, Nanik and the other wonderful ladies in the spa. They are all incredible. This hotel is a sublime experience and now one of our favorite hotels in the world. Truly a magical experience! We miss it already!

Beautiful Hotel. A lot of the landscaping was dead which was a bit of a bummer... but overall beautiful. It’s worth it for the view and the gorgeous beach.

ウルワツのおしゃれなリゾート
おしゃれな空間で過ごす大人のリゾート。プールも素晴らしい。サーフィンをしたければPadang Padang Beachまではタクシーで20分くらいでいけます。ホテルの崖の下も乗れなくはないでしょうが、草むらの崖を降りるのに20分くらい、帰りの登りは40分くらいかかりそうで、やめた方がいいです。1日に3回くらい来てくれるルームメイドのおかげで部屋はいつも綺麗な状態です。私たちはプライベートプールがついた部屋に泊まりました。部屋のプールも気持ちよかったです。

とても静かでのんびりするには快適なリゾートです。 お部屋は広くて明るいので、気持ちいいですが、設備は全体的に古い感じがします。ルームサービスなどを注文する Samsungタブレットは100％までに充電してあるのに、５分使えば電池が切れます。デイベッドもシミが結構付いてます。でも一日２回掃除してくれるので、清潔感はあります。 メインのプールエリアは眺めもよく、一番の魅力ポイントだと思います。 スパはオススメしません。２万円弱払った９０分コースはかなり酷かったです。バリの他のリゾートで受けたマッサージの方がはるかに丁寧で気持ちよかったです。アリラのは、まず顔を置くクッションが体臭がこびり付いており、気持ち悪くなりました。マッサージ師のスキルレベルも低く、雑でした。 全体的にスタッフのサービスは良いですが、ルームサービスとかはまだらでした。注文した物を忘れられたりし、何度も電話で依頼する必要がありました。また、ステーキをレアで焼いてくださいと言ったら、well doneに焼けたステーキが届き、やり直してもらう必要がありました。 でも、上記の苦情を最後マネージャーさんに伝えたら、スパとご飯代を引いてくれたので、それはとても適切ない対応をしてくれたと思います。 こういった課題を解消していただければ、また是非行きたいと思います
