Yes, the cabins are old and dated, but it just adds to their charm. Plus Steffen is working hard at updating all the cabins. The cabins are clean and functional. The family that runs the place are gracious hosts and are happy to help out any way they can. Having a place to dock our boat was a bonus, as well as great parking for our needs. ...

"We stayed at the hotel over the Canada Day long weekend a d really enjoyed our stay. What I loved most is that they recently in 2025 changed out carpets in rooms and replaced it with wood looking laminate. It’s so much nicer looking and cleaner. It really makes the hotel look and feels modern and airy. And honestly carpets in general are distracting, impossible to clean properly and hold dust and smells. These floors are so much easier to clean and didn’t activate my dust allergies. The staff...

"An older motel but still more than adequate. Has what you need for a comfortable night alng with a very nice lakeside view. Even met some of the feathered local geese as they came ashore. Close to restaurants and other shops.couldnt ask for a nicer host He was very friendly and accommodating.not the ritz but was perfect for what we needed."
