Good, Overall

Quiet & clean. Great comforter & bedding. Does not have central heating, so unit in window - it’s loud & inefficient. Housekeeping unlocked the door from the patio while sleeping, which was really unnerving.

The best thing in my mind was the room set up! Lovely modern CO decor with a mini kitchenette in the room. It had anything you would need to be self sufficient for meals in the room. I had a King bed with couch and it was a perfectly sized room; nothing extra and nothing left out. Nice shampoo (Aveda product). I went in summer and the hotel location was literally next to a ski lift & there is a trail you can bike into downtown (a couple of miles) (they also offered an on demand shuttle I didn't use). Aspen is still fairly shut down; maybe half? of the stores open in downtown. This hotel had a large BBQ restaurant that had great food and LOTS of room for patio or indoor seating.

Noisy old motel- Not worth the $ in the summer

Despite the pictures and description, this is a below average roadside motel. I wish we would have known that before booking, as the photos are very misleading. We paid extra for a "mountain view" and "deluxe king studio" and got neither. The room was very outdated and looked nothing like the photos. The mini fridge in our room could barely fit a six pack and a couple of small snacks. Besides the shuttle driver and maintenance guy that had to fix our broken door who were both very hospitable, the staff was dismissive and rude. Our room was very noisy (doors slamming at all hours, alarm clocks going off in the middle of the night with no one at the front desk to help, cars pulling up outside our door at all hours unloading/ having loud conversations). Perhaps this place is worth it in the winter due to the location, but in the summer I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Staff was great. The beds were horrible, as pillows and bed are stiff. Had the worst night sleep on the beds. Otherwise it the location was okay.

Beautiful Hotel

Beautiful Location at the bottom of Buttermilk Hill. Our room was beautiful and so clean, loved the steam shower and the balcony was relaxing. Located within minutes from aspen and other skiing and less than 30 minutes to Glenwood. The restaurant at the hotel was also fantastic and prices were more than fair. Every Staff personal we came in contact with were kind and mindful of covid restrictions. We would stay here again and again.

This hotel is a hidden little gem in aspen. You cannot beat the price point for an aspen hotel. I’ve stayed here many times in the past. The service and shuttle are incredible. The hotel itself could use a facelift but the rooms and common areas are clean.

Great location. Next to the ski lift. But rooms are outdated and staff is hard to reach. If plan on visiting aspen and ski. This would be a good location since the left is at the back.

The unit we stayed in the time the bathroom faceted was falling off and towel rack was loose. Pool was closed since the boiler was broken. We hope for improvements next time

1/5 If I could give zero stars I would. We had just finished skiing at snow mass and went to the hotel at 3pm requesting an early check in. Our check in was at 4pm. Julianne is who we met with first. She told us the room had not been cleaned yet and would be ready to come back in 45 minutes. We left to get a drink, then came back. It was 4pm now and they told us it would be another 15 minutes until our room would be ready. Today is Valentine’s Day and our reservation for dinner was for 5pm. Not only could they not care at all, they just pushed us to the side to let another couple check into their room. 415 rolls around and our room STILL isn’t ready, they claimed it was “due to covid” the process takes longer. Late check out is 11 which means no matter when the party prior left they have 5 HOURS to clean the room. We finally got our keys at 425 and got to the room to find the cleaning lady still cleaning our room. We had to ask them to get out so we could get ready. Once inside we saw the floor is trashed and bathtub won’t drain. To top it off the pool is broken. Best part of the story, the cleaning lady had fireball on her cart. Terrible service, horrible hotel

The hair dryer was broken. I called for one that worked no one brought one so I dried my hair with the wall heater. When I returned that evening I had to call again for a working dryer. House keeping brought me one.

Guestroom updates needed badly.

The best part of this property is it's convenient location. The rooms are badly in need of an update (bathrooms still have 1980's mauve countertops and dated builder-grade tile). Clearly carpet and furniture have not been changed out in years either. I have stayed here numerous times on business because it is convenient to so many things, and has a decent restaurant/sports bar attached. However, I will hesitate in the future until some updates are made. Granted COVID has taken it's toll. The restaurant is no longer open for breakfast and the lobby seating area (remodeled about a year ago) was cordoned off. Signs all over the place "no usage due to COVID". I empathize with what properties are experiencing due to this pandemic, but when things are once again on the upswing, this property should consider room updates.

Great vacation stay at the heart of buttermilk ski resort. Although it was not fully opened when we visited we were still able to ski and snowboard there. Also it is conveniently located. Not too far from the airport, the main city and other 3 mountains (Snowmass being one of them). They do offer a shuttle to town They have a great restaurant on site (BBQ home team). There is an outdoor pool and hot tub. We haven't tried it but it looked warm as other guests were enjoying it. Parking is free and we could park right in front of our ground floor room. It was cozy and comfortable. Enough room for 4 of us. Those of you with Teslas there are 8 power charging stations on site. Also each room has access to lockers in the hallway in case you travel with your own ski equipements. All in all we were satisfied even with covid restrictions in place. Will definitely come back!

Excellent Covid Free Getaway

Loved the location and the fact there was a shuttle to take you into town. Front desk was so friendly and gave plenty of recommendations. Hotel was clean and the bbq place looked great inside the hotel.

The staff was amazing and the shuttle to town could not be any more convenient with very friendly drivers. Somehow our room was double booked fortunately the hotel had another room we could stay in otherwise this review may not be so positive.

Perfect location, incredible service!

Laurie and Chloe were awesome!!! We had initiqlly only intended to stay here one night, but after talking to Laurie about our game plan to do the four pass loop as a backpacking trip, we quickly realized we hadnt thought of all of the detaila (you need a permit to park at the trailhead over night). She hooked us up with Chloe whom gave us a ride to the trailhead, and when we finished we got another ride back. They also stored our things for us, and let us keep our car parked in tbeir lot while we were camping. Additionally, when we got back, they provided a shuttle into Aspen so we didnt have to worry about parking once there. The rooms we stayed in were fantastic, and every time I needed anything Laurie was super quick to provide great service. Couldn't recommend this place more!!!
