We couldn't even get into our room until 10 minutes to 6:00 at night we were there at 3:15 and it wasn't ready they said it would be ready soon and we didn't get to get in there, the room wasn't even cleaned right the coffee pot was filthy there was stuck on food in the microwave there was hair and dirtiness in the refrigerator the freezer was dirty under the bed was just horrible there was red stains on the bedspread there was a cap from like a bottle or something next to the nightstand between the bed and the nightstand the floor made your feet black wasn't even mopped I took pictures of everything and showed it to the front desk and nothing was done about it I've always stayed there every time I get there and I will never stay there again I paid over $200 for two nights and never again I tried to get a night for tonight at least half price or something and they wouldn't do anything they said no

We thought the man at the desk was fine but the property is definitely sub-par. For not much more money there are way nicer places to stay in Brookings. The beach is close by though and we’d recommend going over there.

The room was fine and quiet. We had ants one morning after a Payday peanut fell on tge floor by my bed. I asked the maid if they had ant spray, then she asked the manager. No info and no help. I went out and bought some. We also found some socks between a nightstand and the wall. They werent ours. Once we paid, we were clearly on our own, we even had to ask the manager for more bath towels because the ones they had were very thin and small. oh, and there was no bath mat. That would've been nice. I did not take any photos.

Room was very small and outdated. Door had a large gap. Could not access internet in room and when checking with office they just said, Give it a little time! It never did work! Went to office to see where to get Ice. Sorry ice machine broke! Shower leaked out onto the floor and the toilet must have been a child size. (Bed was comfortable:). Front sidewalk dirty. Needed to be swept. No chair or table. Had to set on bed. Would not recommend as a good place to stay.

Terrible customer service, the lady at the front desk was extremely rude. The room was disgusting, towels and blankets were stained when we got there. There was no ac in the rooms, the rooms are very small and there was an awful smell that didn’t go away for most of our stay.

Check in was easy. Room has king size bed, which we requested. TV works (Direct TV) and it is easy to peruse channels (which is important to my husband). Room appears old but recently semi-updated. Coffee maker in room with four different k-cups.

We’ve stayed here before and the place looked a little run down. It looked like they had done some necessary repairs like cleaning up the mold in the bathroom and making a clean coffee pot available to use.

First of all, I had spoken with the staff at the hotel twice the day before arriving, and also spoke with them on the way driving up. I knew I was going to arrive later than usual check-in time. I also had spoken with them two weeks before arriving to confirm my reservation. Upon arrival, the hotel could not find my reservation as they showed me already checked in. When I entered my room, it was evident that someone had just climbed out of the bed. The garbage can was full and wet towels were all over the bathroom floor. The young man at the front desk showed that the room had been marked as clean. However, he himself came in and did a quick clean of the room. The next morning, I realized the ice machine didn't work. When I went to the front desk, the manager played it off that he would have to get it repaired . It was quite evident that ice machine had not been in operation for a long time! The floors in the room had clearly not been cleaned/mopped in months! Our feet were black when we walked from the bed to the bathroom! The mattress was old and the linens were not clean even after being washed. I went out and bought disinfectant wipes and wiped down everything in the room as well as lysol spray for the bed! For the cost of this room, I expected much better! If there had been other accommodations available, I would have gone else where. I do not recommend the Blue Coast Inn and Suites at all! This place is a complete DUMP!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We arrived after a long 5 hr trip at 10:00pm and when we opened the door to our room there was only one double bed. The reservation was for three adults. I walked back to the front desk and after a long phone call between the front desk staff and another person, I was finally given a new room. We entered that room and pulled our sheets down to get ready for bed and one of the bed’s sheets had DIRT AND HAIR all over it. I went back to the front desk and they handed me a set of sheets. We wanted to leave but they had already charged my credit card BEFORE I had arrived and we were just so exhausted none of us wanted to go thru that. The room in general was dirty and outdated. They had placed us in a suite with a stove with foil under the burners an old sink and an oversized fridge for a small rooms The shower was so small you barely fit in it. After using the bath mat I picked it up and the underside was black with dirt. This was the worst motel I’ve ever been in and I travel a lot. They should be shut down. I know people are skeptical of bad reviews but I promise you this is a true and honest description. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough in the morning.
