I dont have a problem with the property , its clean , food and pool are great. Rooms are nice and big . I do hava a problem with the beach and the hurrable smell. I would never pick this hotel due to the smell . Nobody let me know about that. My son was throw up from the smell.. this is not condition you should have your guess. Its not enjoyable

We stayed for 5 nights and loved how cleaned, well maintained the landscapes around the property. The room with ocean view was okay, nice and cleaned. We didn’t get the full view of the ocean as we hoped as there were trees by the balcony blocked the view. We stayed on the second floor building 27, Platinum Luxury. The room has everything we needed. We had two butlers assigned day shift and night shift. Ricardo and Freddy both were great! They came and checked to make sure we got everything we needed for the room and they helped made reservation for our last night there. Dining options and food were good. Everyone at the property were super friendly and helpful. Definitely would commend to our friends and family, and stay here again in the future.

I stayed here in 2022 and it was a great experience. We decided to try a garden view room at Ventus and it was awful. Even though the property was way underbooked with lots of empty rooms we were placed in a terrible room with full view of the massive construction site (and noise) next door. This was after declining a hard sell on a room upgrade at the front desk. The guy almost giggled when he said come back and see me for an upgrade after assigning my wife and I the worst room on the property. After spending thousands on the trip I was forced to spend hundreds more to have the experience I expected. I work construction at home, I don't fly to another country for a 6 night getaway with my wife to experience more construction 30 feet away from where I'm relaxing. Busy season or holiday weekend I understand. The property was empty and they grabbed me by my ankles to shake out another $5770 Pesos. The Ventus is starting to show its age and the attempts to keep the beach clean are awful. The water looked like a dirty milkshake and smelled like raw sewage. I figured no big deal, it's just seaweed season. Then we went 1km into Puerto Morelos and the beach was beautiful and the water was clear. El Cid is obviously just not willing to spend the money to get the beach useable. Definitely felt like a far worse experience than we had in 2022. If I didn't feel like I was robbed on arrival I think I'd have a much better overall opinion of the stay.

Paid for beach front but was blocked by herbs and did not enjoy. At the Marina at the snorkeling check in office an employee tried to sell us small Pringles at $15 each or 3 for $45 and thar was in dollars. Feel disappointed for the price we paid.

Where do I start from? This is the definition of service and excellence!! A true “all inclusive” experience!! From the food (extremely tasty, with a very wide variety to cater to all buds!), to the service oriented and friendly staff, to the facilities, all A Star! Daily entertainment options, ensuring there’s no need to go out to spend extra money for anything really. I’m definitely coming back multiple times! And with family and friends!! A 9.7/10 experience for me and my lovely wife who thoroughly enjoyed the choice of location for our 10th year wedding anniversary❤️. Thank you EL CID!!!! Only thing that may need work is the shower experience (shower head), which is not bad, but could use some modern upgrading. Also to note Abe why I didn’t give a10/10, is the musty old smell of the room, which again is not that bad as the room is spotlessly clean.

Great spread out property. Foods are really average/below average. Breakfast Omelette station was great. Rest of them were just okay. Room service good. Front desk checkin experience was okay, had better experience at other resorts. We stayed in regular room, but no complain there.

Our 7 stay was great. A lot of food options and a lot of restaurants to choose from. Entertainment every night and of course, unlimited drinks. Staff are hardworking and makes every attempt to speak English. Would highly recommend!!

The property was very nice. The staff was friendly, but the smell was horrendous. You could smell it coming in your room, right outside your balcony. I don’t know if they have a seaweed problem, but it’s smell like rotten fish eggs all the time other than that the hotel property was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort. We found the resort very clean and beautiful. The food was amazing and they had a lot of variety. We had butlers, Freddy and Ricardo, and they were great. They made our stay very memorable. The beach was not useable but the pools available were great.

Beautiful property. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with any questions. Butler proactively reached out to ensure we had everything we needed. All pools were lovely and plenty of chairs. Spa experience was amazing. Downside was the sargassum at the beach. Staff worked hard every day to clean it up.

This 5-star review is all thanks to the incredible staff at El Cid Ventus — especially Rena, a kind, beautiful, and hardworking waitress at Trattoria D’Gulio and Mercado de Dolores. Her warmth made us feel welcome every day. She, along with the cooks, hostesses, and bartenders, are the heart of this resort. While check-in was awkward and not welcoming (no tour, and a pricing issue vs. Expedia), and non-Platinum guests were treated as second-rate, the behind-the-scenes staff made up for it completely. Housekeeping (especially Lucy), gardeners, room service, cabana cleaners, and even the man who restocked our fridge were amazing. During a storm, we watched a small staff member and his team work tirelessly to collect umbrellas and cushions — all with determination and grace. At the Ventus pool, the bartender went above and beyond to create a non-alcoholic drink for my husband when mix was missing — even having someone run to get chocolate. That’s true service. The entertainment team put on a phenomenal 4th of July celebration — one of the best we’ve ever seen. BBQ, dancing, and joy from 5–11 PM — no fireworks needed, they represented the USA beautifully. The pools are clean and relaxing, though the beach isn’t swimmable. Don’t miss the $60 Mesoamerican Reef snorkeling tour — the best we’ve done from Cancun to Tulum. Thank you to every staff member who smiled and said hello. You made this trip unforgettable. The Dr went above and beyond she is amazing at her Job. Thank you ALL!
