We take you away from the tourist crowds and deep in the jungle on this Siem Reap excursion to climb through temples untouched by time and venture past riverbeds carved centuries ago. Visit Beng Mealea, a jungle-covered temple, where you will likely have the place to yourself to clamour among trees and temple. Continue to Phnom Kulen for a light trek and picnic lunch amid waterfalls, rivers and hidden temples.
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel around 8.00am and transfer to Phnom Kulen, an impressive sandstone plateau in this otherwise flat area. We will pass by the brilliantly rive fields (in wet season) and the local villages to the sacred place, which is considered the root of the Khmer empire. You will have some time for a refreshing swim under the waterfall closeby. Later have a picnic lunch after strolling around for discovering the stone carvings and several hidden pagodas.
After lunch, continue our tour with the quiet Beng Mealea. Take an easy walk through the dense jungle to discover the temple, which was undiscovered for centuries. Back to Siem Reap late in the afternoon.
