Explore two of Boston's most iconic revolutionary buildings—the Old State House and Old South Meeting House—plus Ruckus!, a bold new immersive show to set the scene for Boston’s revolutionary storey and the birth of a nation.
Old State House: The centre of royal government in the Massachusetts Bay colony, the Old State House was the focal point for many of the Revolution’s most dramatic events, including the 1770 Boston Massacre. Today, explore exhibits, historic rooms, and revolutionary treasures including John Hancock’s coat of arms and ammunition from Revolutionary War battles.
Old South Meeting House: The largest building in colonial Boston, thousands gathered here in 1773 to debate the controversial tea tax, leading to Samuel Adams giving the signal that started the Boston Tea Party.
Ruckus!: Experience Ruckus!, a bold new immersive show at the Old South Meeting House that surrounds you with dynamic sound, lighting, and projected animations of fiery revolutionaries, determined citizens, and some unlikely troublemakers whose courage shook these walls and sparked the American Revolution. This 25-minute show is designed for visitors of all ages as the ultimate starting point for exploring Boston's history.
Guests should arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the selected showtime. Your ticket also includes admission to both the Old South Meeting House (310 Washington St.) and the Old State House (206 Washington St.), where you can stand in the rooms where history unfolded, explore fascinating exhibits and artefacts, and continue your journey through the storey of America’s founding.
