What you can expect

  • To get to know Brest and its history better, Brest Walking Tours offers walking tours of Brest in small groups. An opportunity for visitors passing through and locals alike to learn lots of fascinating facts about the city of Ponant, while having fun, because a tour with Brest Walking Tours is much more than a guided tour: it's a walk, an exchange, riddles, and lots of laughter!

Brest, the westernmost city in France, often mocked for its rainy weather, has a unique charm and atmosphere and requires a little context to be fully appreciated. Almost totally destroyed at the end of World War II, the city's streets still bear traces of its military past and present, but the city has recently been enjoying a new lease of life. From Place de la Liberté to the Plateau des Capucins and its urban cable car, we will walk through Brest's culture, past and present, and learn more about its astonishing architecture, its explosive history and anecdotes about its inhabitants.

Meeting point: in front of the Multiplex Cinema in Brest
Drop-off: at the Ateliers des Capucins (and optional return by cable car)
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes, at a very leisurely walking pace
