What you can expect

  • The walk begins at the border of the district, which bears the name of Empress Sisi and is shaped by the Jewish community living here and the young people who have discovered the area for themselves in recent decades.

    On the tour, you will see several synagogues (exterior viewing) and various Jewish monuments/institutions, and thus experience the history and present-day life of the Jews of Budapest.

    But you will also get to enjoy the famous Hungarian street art scene with its curious paintings and sculptures.

    To also show modern life in the district, we end the guided tour at Budapest's most famous ruin pub.
