Begin your day with a scenic journey along the enchanting Rio Preguiças, one of the most iconic rivers in northeastern Brazil. Departure starts at 8:20 AM, with pickup times varying depending on your accommodation’s location. Once at the pier, you’ll board a speedboat (voadeira) for an exciting ride through the lush river landscape.

Our first stop after approximately 40 minutes of navigation is the peaceful village of Vassouras. Known for its seasonal lagoons that fill during the rainy months, Vassouras offers refreshing spots for swimming and moments of serenity. But its biggest charm? The playful capuchin monkeys that inhabit the area and often approach visitors with curiosity. Be sure to bring your camera for some incredible wildlife shots.

We then return to the boat and head to the colourful village of Mandacaru, where culture and tradition meet. Here, you’ll have the chance to climb the famous Preguiças Lighthouse. From the top, enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree view of the surrounding region—where dunes, the Atlantic Ocean, and the river all come together in perfect harmony. On the ground, the village is full of charm: local artisans sell handmade crafts, and there are tasty stops for typical fruit-flavored ice creams and freshly made caipirinhas.

To close the day, we cruise down to the stunning Caburé Beach, located on a narrow sandbar between the river and the sea. This unique geographic feature allows you to swim in the calm river or dive into the ocean—both just a few metres apart. The atmosphere here is relaxed and scenic, perfect for recharging. We’ll enjoy a longer stop for lunch at one of the beachfront restaurants (not included in the tour price), where you can try local specialities made with fresh seafood and regional ingredients.

Throughout the tour, your pilot and guide will ensure everything runs smoothly, providing instructions and local insights along the way. Return typically begins around 2:30 PM, with expected arrival at the original pier around 3:30 PM.
