Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Zell am See, Kaprun, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Leogang or Saalfelden. Your private tour guide drives you in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle through the Salzach and Lammertal valleys, sharing stories about the region along the way.
Make your first stop at Lake Gosau, where you can take a short walk along the shore and admire the Dachstein glacier reflected in the lake. Then continue to Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage village.
Your guide walks you through Hallstatt: the Market Square, the lakeside lanes, the parish church and the classic postcard viewpoint, and tells you about 7,000 years of salt mining history. Afterwards you have 2.5 hours of free time for lunch and to explore on your own. Visit the Bone House or take the funicular to the Skywalk “World Heritage View” platform, 350 metres above the lake (tickets not included).
Afterwards, drive to St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang for a coffee break and a final photo stop. Conclude your day with a relaxed drive back to your hotel.
In winter, snow-covered Hallstatt and Lake Gosau make this a perfect rest day from skiing. Because the tour is private, it runs at your pace.
