Begin your day at Wild Nordic’s gallery, where you’ll meet your guide. After a short drive and a 200-meter walk, arrive at a specially built forest hut in northern Gästrikland.
The hide stands in a sparse pine forest and has views in three directions. Wildlife such as foxes, eagles, and goshawks can appear here.
Settle into the hide, which is equipped with 10 different windows and photo openings, perfect for capturing the wildlife. Birds of prey and foxes usually stay 15-30 metres from the hide, while perches for small birds and squirrels are 4-7 metres away.
The hide is equipped with bean bags and smart tripod solutions (gimbal heads, swing tripods, and Arca Swiss plates). Your own tripod head/tripod does not work. Flash is not allowed.
The hide has large bunk beds with sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets and a simple toilet. In order to keep warm, there are insulating carpets on the floor, a petrol heater, warm pillows together with warm ponchos and slippers. There is bad connection in the hide (ok for calls and texts but unstable internet).
