The activity takes place at the Honey Origins by GEORGAKAS HONEY® venue and starts at the time of booking. Guests arrive at the meeting point a few minutes earlier. The experience begins and ends in the same location, with no need to travel by vehicle during the experience.

The visit begins with a brief introduction to the family history of GEORGAKAS HONEY®, which has been associated with honey since 1948. Next, visitors tour the museum showroom, where they learn about different varieties of Greek honey, bee products, and facts from the world of beekeeping.

The key part of the experience is the VR guided tour. Visitors wear special virtual reality glasses and “enter” the world of the hive. Through VR, they closely observe the life of bees, the functioning of the hive, the production process, and the route of honey from nature to the jar.

Virtual reality makes the experience more direct, safe, and understandable, as it allows the visitor to learn about beekeeping without having to be next to a real hive. It is a modern way to discover how honey is produced, what the role of bees is in nature, and how the place, the plants, and the season affect the quality and taste of honey.

After the VR guided tour, the experience continues with a tasting of award-winning GEORGAKAS HONEY® honeys. Visitors taste different varieties, get to know their aromas, textures and flavour characteristics, and learn the basic differences between flower honeys, forest honeys and honeys from special Greek blooms.

The aim of the experience is not only to taste honey, but to understand its origin, quality, and relationship with nature and the gastronomic identity of Halkidiki. Visitors leave with a better understanding of Greek honey and the importance of bees in the natural environment.
