What you can expect

  • This 3-hour guided trip that we developed and copied by others starts off by a safety briefing following the Paddle UK standards. We will then set off, slaloming in-between the moored traditional pirogues (skiffs) to reach the 137 hectare National Park of Ile D’Ambre some 300 metres further.

Paddle in the heart of the mangroves and learn about this amazing plant.
We will also have a chance to stop off for a short swim/ snorkel.

The guides will then show you the way to the other side of Ile d Ambre where you’ll take a short scroll by foot to the ruins and learn about the 300-year history of this once inhabited islet.

At the kiosk, we provide refreshments.
