1.- Explore the Cave of Lakes Visit one of the most beautiful and rare caves in the world, the Cave of the Lakes. It is unique due to its 13 successive, cascading underground lakes spread across three different levels. This is where Melampus, the world’s first psychiatrist, allegedly cured the daughters of the King of Tiryns from madness .Visitors can explore approximately 500 metres of the developed section via elevated artificial bridges. The experience is unforgettable, as impressive stalactites and stalagmites are reflected in the still waters, creating a mesmerising sight. The cave also serves as a paleontological site; fossilised human and animal bones, including those of a hippopotamus, were found on the lower floor.
