Starting at Modern Inuk Headquarters on the Kotzebue Sound, your guide will share about Kotzebue as a transport miracle. After an quad bike safety brief, all drivers and riders will be fitted for helmets and you’ll be on your way. Your guide will take you to notable stops in Kotzebue before heading to the tundra along the “Loop Road” behind town.

You’ll stop to experience the tundra (flora and fauna, permafrost, berries) and hear stories of our history as hunter and gatherers of The Alaskan Arctic. Your guide will share and teach animal and bird calls. Take a ride along the coastline and stop to enjoy the amazing views of the “ocean” (Kotzebue Sound) and sample “paniqtaq”, dried snacks from the land and sea. Your guide will share the about early explorers and other historical stories of the Iñupiat of Qikiqtaġruk.
