The Wooden Train Route and the Golden Valley
Discover Soller and Puerto Soller on a half-day excursion of approximately 4.5 hours, designed to enjoy two of the most iconic historic routes in Mallorca: the Soller Train and its century-old tram.
This experience combines the landscapes of the Serra de Tramuntana, the charm of the Soller Valley, and the harbour of Puerto Soller. This is an ideal excursion to get a general first impression of both places while enjoying their historic modes of transport.
Monday departures: afternoon excursion
On Mondays, the excursion begins in Palma with departure on the historic Tren de Sóller at 3:10 PM. En route, you'll pass through tunnels, over viaducts, and through mountain landscapes among olive groves and citrus trees until you reach Sóller.
After a short period of free time in Sóller, you'll take the Sóller Tram at 5:00 PM towards Puerto de Sóller. There, you'll have a limited amount of free time to stroll along the bay, admire the harbour, and enjoy its Mediterranean atmosphere. The drop-off in Palma is by coach.
Friday departures: morning excursion
On Fridays, the tour is done in reverse. You'll depart by bus from Palma to the Port of Sóller, where you'll have a short period of free time to explore the promenade and enjoy the views of the bay.
At 11:10 AM, you'll board the Soller Tram to travel through the valley among orange groves, gardens, and traditional houses until you reach the village of Soller. After a limited amount of free time in Sóller, you'll return to Palma on the famous Tren de Sóller at 12:15 pm.
Important: This is a half-day excursion, and free time in both Soller and Puerto Soller is limited. The experience is primarily designed to enjoy the train and tram rides, as well as to get an overview of these two iconic Mallorcan landmarks
