Discover Kenya’s cultural heritage on an afternoon tour combining traditional performances and cultural shopping. Experience the music, dance, craftsmanship, and everyday traditions that reflect the country’s diverse communities.
Your afternoon begins with pickup from your hotel or agreed location in Nairobi, followed by a drive to Bomas of Kenya in Lang’ata. Along the way, your guide will introduce the cultural experiences awaiting you.
Explore traditional homesteads representing different Kenyan communities and learn about their architecture, living arrangements, and customs. Discover how these spaces reflect family life and traditions passed down through generations.
Then settle in for a lively programme of traditional dances, music, drumming, and acrobatic performances. Enjoy contrasting rhythms and styles, from Swahili musical influences to energetic warrior dances, as performers bring Kenya’s cultural diversity to life.
Performances are scheduled for 2:30pm–4:00pm on weekdays and 3:30pm–5:15pm on weekends and public holidays. Pickup will be arranged to suit the day’s programme, with the exact time confirmed before your tour.
Complete your experience with time for cultural shopping, browsing handmade crafts, beadwork, and souvenirs. Appreciate local artistry and choose a keepsake from your visit, with purchases at your own expense.
After the tour, your driver will take you back to your hotel or original pickup location in Nairobi.
