What you can expect

  • Immerse yourself in the ancient beauty and spiritual heritage of Nara on a private guided walking tour. Enjoy a thoughtfully designed, mostly downhill route connecting sacred forest shrines, monumental temples, and a lively market district.

    1. Kasuga Taisha Shrine & Sacred Forest
Begin your Nara exploration at the peaceful grounds of Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Walk through the tranquil lantern-lined pathways, visit the historic Ichigon Inari Shrine, and take in the scenic views at the foot of Mount Wakakusa.

    2. Todai-ji Temple & Nigatsu-do Stage
Continue to the ancient Todai-ji complex. Visit Hokke-do (Sangatsu-do) before ascending to Nigatsu-do hall's wooden balcony for stunning panoramic views across the Nara Basin. Then, step inside Todai-ji's main hall (Daibutsuden) to marvel at the monumental Great Buddha, one of the world's largest bronze statues.

    3. Higashimuki Shopping Street & Local Dining
Stroll down towards central Nara to explore Higashimuki Shopping Street. The tour finishes in the vibrant arcade area right in time for a relaxed, late lunch away from the peak tourist crowds.

Please note that temple operations and site access depend on local schedules.
