From our meeting point at the crossroads of Saskatchewan Crescent and 16th Street East, we walk down a gentle paved trail along a slope to a lower level grassed plateau with many shrubs overlooking the South Saskatchewan River. Along this portion of Cosmopolitan Park, various shrubland birds may be seen and heard. Later, we follow a trail of wood chips through a wooded portion of park where different species of songbirds may be found.
Following this 2-hour walk, we return by a different route to the starting point.
