What you can expect

Experience an unforgettable day on Lisbon’s south bank, where breathtaking landscapes, heritage and traditional flavours come together in a journey full of charm.

We begin with a panoramic visit to the Cristo Rei Sanctuary, one of the most iconic viewpoints over Lisbon, offering sweeping views of the city and the Tagus River. The tour then continues to the Cabo Espichel, a dramatic and mystical headland known for its towering cliffs and the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the historic sanctuary.

Our route leads us next to Sesimbra, a picturesque fishing village where you’ll have free time to stroll through the centre, enjoy the waterfront and savour lunch with some of the freshest fish in the region.

After lunch, we enter the heart of the Arrábida Natural Park, driving along scenic roads that reveal the perfect contrast between the lush green mountains and the turquoise waters of the coastline. We also pass through the stunning Portinho da Arrábida, one of Portugal’s most iconic seaside landscapes.

Before heading to Azeitão, enjoy a delightful tasting of a local regional sweet, celebrating the area’s traditional flavours. The afternoon continues with a guided visit to the José Maria da Fonseca wine cellars, one of the oldest and most prestigious wine producers in Portugal, where you’ll learn about its history and enjoy a tasting of selected wines.

We end the day at the majestic Palmela Castle, a medieval fortress offering spectacular views over the Arrábida mountains, the Sado estuary and the plains of the Setúbal Peninsula — the perfect setting to conclude a day filled with natural beauty and discovery
