Enjoy a whale watching adventure onboard an open RIB boat. Search for humpback whales, fin whales and orcas in their natural habitat as you admire the incredible landscape of the Arctic.

Meet up for onboarding 04:45, outside Scandic Ishavshotell, Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø.
The bus leaves at 05:00 sharp. So be on time. the bus is on tight schedule and is not able to wait.

Remember to bring snacks with you, as it will be a long day. If you have specific allergy or dietary requirements we recommend bringing your own food and snacks with you, so you are sure you have food that is safe and good for you to eat.

You can relax on the 4-hour bus journey to the island of Skjervøy, the town closest to the feeding grounds of the whales. Here, you are met by your skipper for a pre-departure briefing.

The skipper will provide a thermal floating suit, boots, goggles and gloves. But please DRESS WARM FROM HOME in layers, as it is cold being out at sea. Bring also mittens, hat and a buff to stay warm.

Then, the fun begins as you speed through the stunning fjords of Northern Norway, searching for a dorsal fin or the splash of a fluke. Have your camera at the ready to capture the stunning sights of whales in their Arctic feeding grounds. Look out for Orcas, Humpback Whales, Fin Whales, White-tailed Sea Eagles and much more. Learn about them and other local marine life with your experienced skipper.

After approximately three hours at sea, you will return to harbour and warm up with a hot drink and a light sandwich. From here, you go back to the bus to enjoy the journey back to Tromsø. You will be back at approximately 17:30.

NB: Children younger than 14 years old & less than 140 cm tall cannot join the tour for safety reasons.
