Know before you book

    • You must be 9 or older.
    • If you are pregnant, you should not take part.
    • If you have back, neck, joint, or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether to participate.
    • You must be able to swim on your own.
    • You do not need previous surfing experience.
    • Hours of operation are Tuesday to Friday from 11 AM to 5 PM, and from 8am on weekends.

What you can expect

  • Learn how to windsurf at the beautiful Sandgate Beach. No prior experience is needed for you to enjoy this casually paced introduction to a fun and exciting ocean activity. You will be taught the basics from the very beginning.

    Make your way to beautiful Sandgate Beach and get acquainted with your experienced instructor before getting started.

    One hour beginner's lesson with qualified Sailing Australia instructor. No experience required but you must be of good health, able to swim and under 100kg.
