What you can expect
Take in the tranquility of Bali's countryside as you journey through the mountains towards Bedugul. Walk through the lush rainforest and tumbling waterfalls while breathing fresh mountain air. Travel north to the coast and see Singaraja, Bali's former capital, with an amazing black sandy beach.
Be picked up in the morning from your hotel and enjoy a beautiful scenic drive along the island's mountains and highlands. On the way, wonder at the verdant rice terrace and spot the alpine vegetation. Gain a fascinating insight into the culture of the real Bali as you visit the local Candi Kuning market. While here, enjoy the array of fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, and exotic flora, including wild orchids and roses.
Then, soak in the refreshing mountain air, view the breathtaking Lake Beratan, and see the big crater of Mount Batukaru at 2,800 feet (850 m) above sea level. While here, make sure to visit a temple built by the locals to honour the goddess and guardian of the lake. Afterwards, stop at Munduk Village and take in the fresh air as you marvel at the majestic twin lakes before you.
Travel along the coast of Lovina and stop for a lunch at a fabulous black sandy beach. After refuelling your stomach, arrive at the historic old town of Singaraja, this former colonial administrative capital possesses architecture recalling past eras. Take a chance for a stroll and stop for a walk at Gitgit Waterfall as you ponder its impressive vegetation and peaceful surroundings.
