Begin your tour in Kazimierz, Kraków’s historic Jewish Quarter—once a vibrant centre of Jewish life and later transformed into a film set for Schindler’s List. As you travel through atmospheric streets and courtyards, including Szeroka Street and filming locations used in the film, your local guide explains how these places appeared on screen and what they represented in real life before World War II.
Continue across the Vistula River into Podgórze and enter the area of the former Kraków Ghetto, where thousands of Jews were forcibly relocated during the Nazi occupation. At Plac Bohaterów Getta, now a powerful memorial space, hear stories of everyday life, deportations, and individuals whose real experiences inspired scenes from the film.
Pass preserved fragments of the ghetto walls and original streets that remain unchanged since the war. Throughout the tour, your guide connects cinematic scenes with historical facts, explaining the role of Oskar Schindler, the moral choices he faced, and how closely the film reflects the real events that took place in Kraków.
In addition to the English-speaking guide, audio guides are available in 28 languages for your convenience.
This tour combines history, storytelling, and comfort, making it an ideal experience for visitors who want a deeper understanding of Kraków’s past without long walks. Perfect for travellers with limited time, families, and anyone looking for a meaningful and accessible way to explore the city.
