What you can expect

  • Discover the most natural side of Medellín with a trekking experience in Santa Elena and Arví Park, personally guided by me, Felipe Tamayo. I designed this tour for those who want to get off the beaten track and connect with the mountains, even if they only have a limited amount of time in the city.

The experience begins with pickup from your hotel in Medellín. From there, we'll head to Santa Elena, a rural area full of tradition, fresh air, and green landscapes. As we climb, you'll feel the atmosphere change: we'll leave the pace of the city behind and enter a peaceful, natural setting.

We'll set off on an approximately 11-km hike, lasting 4 to 5 hours, along trails surrounded by native forests, lush vegetation, and the sounds of nature. During the hike, I'll share local stories, facts about the ecosystem, and cultural insights that will make this experience much more enriching than just a walk.

One of the most special moments will be arriving at the lagoon, a place surrounded by tranquility, perfect for taking a break, enjoying the scenery, and recharging your batteries. There, you can connect with the surroundings, take photos, and enjoy an authentic moment away from mass tourism.

This tour is ideal for travellers looking for a well-rounded experience in a short amount of time: nature, physical activity, culture, and unwinding, all in a single day.

The experience includes transport to and from your hotel in Medellín, a snack + coffee during the tour, a professional local guide, and medical assistance insurance.

To get the most out of the hike, I recommend wearing comfortable clothing, proper trekking shoes, sun cream, bringing enough water, and wearing a light jacket, as the weather can vary in the mountains.

More than a hike, this is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, breathe fresh air, and discover one of the natural gems surrounding Medellín in an authentic, safe, and guided way.
