What you can expect

  • The Bellinzona Fortress, consisting of the three castles of Castel Grande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro, as well as the Bulwark and the city walls, is one of the most important historical and architectural heritage sites in Switzerland. Recognised as being of international importance, the following unique and outstanding value was noted when the site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.

    The Bellinzona Fortezza Pass includes a visit to the museums and temporary exhibitions, the Bulwark, and the Towers.

    From March 28 to November 8, 2026, the 3 castles of Bellinzona are open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

    You can pick up your Fortezza Pass at the following Infopoints: Castel Grande, Montebello Castle and/or Sasso Corbaro Castle. We recommend starting your visit at Sasso Corbaro Castle and then walking along the city trails to Montebello Castle and Castel Grande.

    The “family” ticket allows access for 2 adults and a maximum of 3 children (6-16 years of age).
    The “single-parent family” ticket allows access for 1 adult and a maximum of 3 children (6-16 years).
