Costa Rica provides White Water Rafting experiences that take your adrenaline to top levels and fascinating Canopy Tours going high above the treetops. Now you can enjoy the two activities in an extraordinary way. Two classic Costa Rican adventures. One action-packed day.
Leave San José behind and travel towards Sarapiquí, located in the northeastern area of the country, with a variety of clear rivers, an abundance of beautiful tropical forests and rural communities on the way to Sarapiqu. Also passing through the mountainous landscapes of Braulio Carrillo National Park on the way to one of Costa Rica's best-known adventure areas.
Your first activity is a canopy tour above the forest. Glide from platform to platform on a series of zipline cables while taking in views of the surrounding tropical landscape. The canopy experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
After the canopy tour, enjoy lunch before continuing to the Sarapiquí River for your next adventure.
Then get ready for whitewater rafting on a section of the Sarapiquí River featuring Class II–III rapids. The route combines exciting whitewater with calmer stretches, creating a varied experience for travellers looking for adventure on the river.
Depending on the operating route, the rafting section covers approximately 9 miles with intervals that makes this an unforgettable experience for bird watchers, nature, and adrenaline lovers.. Please note that river conditions and route details may vary.
Guests who prefer not to participate in rafting may have the option to replace it with a horseback riding activity, subject to availability and confirmation by the local operator.
At the end of the adventure, relax during the return journey to San José.
