Discover Tallinn by bike — then cook and enjoy your own Estonian dinner!
Combine two great ways to discover Tallinn and Estonia in one experience. First, explore the city beyond the Old Town on our popular guided bike tour. Afterwards, swap your bicycle for an apron and discover authentic Estonian cuisine during a hands-on cooking class.
The experience starts at 15:00 from our City Bike office in Tallinn Old Town. During the 2.5–3-hour bike tour, your guide will take you east along Tallinn's seaside, through beautiful Kadriorg and to some of the city's most important historical and cultural landmarks.
You'll cycle through Kadriorg Park, see the elegant Kadriorg Palace and the nearby Presidential Palace, and continue towards the impressive Song Festival Grounds — a place closely connected with Estonia's national identity and the Singing Revolution.
The route then takes you to Maarjamäe, where Estonia's complicated 20th-century history can be seen through the Soviet-era WWII Memorial and the modern Memorial to the Victims of Communism. From there, we'll enjoy Tallinn's seaside promenade and beautiful views across Tallinn Bay.
The cycling is easy and relaxed, with plenty of stops for stories, photos and discovering a side of Tallinn that many visitors never see.
From the bike to the kitchen
After the bike tour, it's time to discover another side of Estonia — its food.
At 18:00, you'll join a 3-hour Estonian Cuisine Cooking Class with Tore Toit at Vene Street 33.
Estonian cuisine is all about pure, fresh flavours, local ingredients and recipes connected to the country's seasons and traditions.
Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you'll prepare a traditional Estonian three-course meal from start to finish. The class is relaxed, social and hands-on — and once the cooking is done, everyone sits down together to enjoy the meal you've created.
So come hungry: your cooking class and dinner are included in the experience!
