What you can expect

  • Discover Rimetea & Piatra Secuiului: A Journey Into Transylvania’s Heart

Join us for an unforgettable hiking adventure in Rimetea, one of Transylvania’s most picturesque and architecturally preserved villages. Nestled in a stunning valley, Rimetea is famous for its iconic white houses with green shutters and a unique phenomenon: the sun rises twice here, as it first disappears behind the towering cliffs before lighting up the entire valley.
The crown jewel of our trek is Piatra Secuiului (The Székely’s Rock), a majestic limestone mountain that rises dramatically above the village to an altitude of 1,129 metres.
What to expect on this tour:
    • The Climb: A rewarding, moderately challenging ascent through vibrant meadows and rocky trails.
    • The Views: Breathtaking, panoramic vistas of the Trascău Mountains and the patchwork fields below from the ridge.
    • The Culture: A post-hike stroll through the historic village to soak in its rich heritage and unique local charm.
Whether you are a photography enthusiast, a nature lover, or a history buff, this hike offers the perfect blend of natural grandeur and cultural discovery.
