What you can expect

  • Founded in 1762, Charlottesville boats almost 300 years of history… and where there’s history, there are ghosts…

Join Charlottesville Ghosts for a thrilling tour of the most haunted hotspots C-Ville has to offer. You’ll meet your seasoned guide at the Paramount Theatre, right in the middle of the famous — and haunted — pedestrian mall. From there, you’ll wind through seven other eerie locations, unlocking a new piece of C-Ville history at each one.

Search for the phantom rider who galloped into town to save Thomas Jefferson’s life. Try to capture evidence of spirits at Market Street Park, where tensions erupted over the Robert E. Lee statue. And feel the hair-raising energy of Maplewood Cemetery, where a woman in white wanders among the tombstones at night.

Planning to visit Monticello? Your guide will fill you in on all of the true, first-hand accounts of ghostly activity guests and employees have reported over the years. Once you hear them, you may change your plans…

Get to know Charlottesville like never before. Book a tour today!
