As a licensed freelance tourguide and tourist assistant/translator, I offer more personal touch, flexibility, and more budget alternatives.
—I am trilingual: Cantonese, English and Spanish speakers. For Spanish, please speak slowly for us to understand. But I am ok having conversations. Just not at a level of native speaker.
—we could cover 5 places as in the published itinerary and a meal time (optional) within 6-7 hours (0930AM-1700PM or 1000AM-1730PM, etc). —Duration depends on group size and time spent on non-sightseeing activities like shopping and coffee break. A group of 3 will probably finish in 5.5 hours without having lunch. I totally respect your choice of having or skipping lunch.
—China is known for high tech, we will try different brands of EV cars in Didi, and well developed metro system. It is more eco and budget.
–punctuality is virtue. I could tolerate cultural difference of time, 5-10min lateness is ok. But 20min + lateness without prior notice is considered disrespecful.
–Please bear in mind that shopping is not the priority, you have to take responsibility of what you buy and the price you pay, use extra caution to artefacts and luxury. Don’t like, don’t buy! Tourguide is happy to help u translate, but NOT bargain!
–Prepare essential Apps for China tour.
–As a goodwill of flexibility, if you need to replace/skip one place in the default route with one you prefer, but do inform me in advance to reduce hassles on site. I will take for granted the “itinerary builder” if you don't propose any change.
–Be prepared for intense citywalk and heatwave in July-Aug.
–Overtime pay applicable to additional sites and time.
–Chongqing, Chungking/Chongquin 重庆/重慶 (whichever you call it), once part of Szechuan四川Province of Southern China, was separated as the self-governing municipality and the biggest city in China and of the world. It was semi-colonized, and served as the temporary capital of China during the WWII so it preserves a lot of European influences, a fact that is unknown to the international community!
–Explore the inside out of this magic and characteristic city! It has its own dialect, gastronomy(eye-popping xiaomian, savoury hotpot), cyberpunk nightview, landscape, climate and residential features. And it has become a hotspot for international tourists thanks to the unique architectures, the viral monorail station Liziba (train into the building) and the jaw-dropping plaza Kuixinglou.
–Inbound tour is facilitated by the visa-free scheme of China and the direct flights from over ten transport hubs in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia and intercity bullet train to Chengdu, Xi'an and Zhangjiajie. You could also embark your Three Gorges/Yangtse Cruise trip here.
