What you can expect

  • On this multi-adventure excursion, we set off in a 4x4 along Route 40 to the Santa Cruz River. From there, after a technical talk and getting equipped with dry suits, we start paddling downriver. During the trip, we'll see geological formations and a wide variety of fauna, elements that inspired Darwin on his legendary journey through these lands.
    After 15 km downstream, we arrive at the Estancia Rio Bote, where we wait for the expedition members with lunch on the banks of the river, and then return to El Calafate.
    Includes: Certified tour guide, double kayaks, Gore-Tex dry suits, life jacket, boots, and gloves.
    Optional companion: Those who don't want to paddle, that is, those who don't go kayaking, can go to the Estancia by 4x4 and have lunch with the kayakers, paying 50% of the price.
    This activity is cancelled due to strong winds.
    Duration is approximately 5 hours. From pick-up to drop-off.
    Difficulty level: medium.
