This volcanic lake is renowned for its serene beauty, especially in autumn when the maple leaves transform the landscape into a vibrant palette of colours. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride or explore Chuzenji Temple, a historic shrine that houses a statue of Kannon carved from a tree trunk.

    Continue to Kegon Falls, one of the three most renowned waterfalls in Japan. Feast your senses on the thunderous roar of the waters as they cascade down a breathtaking landscape. There are observation platforms for stunning views and an lift that takes you closer to the base of the waterfall.

    In winter, the frozen falls create a magical spectacle, while in summer and autumn the surrounding area bursts with life and colour.
