What you can expect

  • Our urban hike starts at the Port of Marsala, the very spot where the Thousand, led by Giuseppe Garibaldi, landed on May 11, 1860. It was here that one of the most pivotal chapters of the Italian Risorgimento began, and today we relive those moments by following the footsteps of history, step by step.

The route is designed for those who enjoy discovering a city on foot, at a leisurely pace, letting the streets and squares tell the storey. We will pass through ancient gateways, lively squares, iconic monuments, and lesser-known corners of Marsala, making for a perfect urban hike that combines famous landmarks with hidden gems.
