From the market, head to the banks of the Perfrum River to climb aboard a boat bound for Thien Mu Pagoda, a 7-story Buddhist temple that has looked out over the river since its construction in 1601. Back on land, head to the Imperial City while your guide shares facts about the rulers of the Nguyen dynasty, who constructed this walled palace in the early 19th century.
