    Periyar, located in Thekkady, Kerala, is one of the well-known wildlife destinations in South India. Known for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Periyar Tiger Reserve, it offers opportunities for nature and wildlife experiences. The sanctuary is home to elephants, gaur, sambar deer, and various bird species. A popular experience is a boat cruise on Periyar Lake, where visitors may have the opportunity to spot wildlife along the water’s edge.

    About Alleppey
    Alleppey, often called the “Venice of the East,” is well known for its backwaters, lagoons, and houseboat cruises. This scenic destination offers visitors an opportunity to experience Kerala’s traditional lifestyle along the waterways, with paddy fields, coconut palms, and village areas forming the surrounding landscape.
    A stay on a traditional houseboat (Kettuvallam) is a popular experience, allowing visitors to cruise through canals, enjoy freshly prepared Kerala cuisine, and watch the sunset over the backwaters.

    Day 01: Kochi – Periyar (Thekkady)
    Arrive at Kochi Airport, where our driver will meet you and drive you to Periyar (Thekkady), approximately 4–5 hours. Upon arrival in Periyar, check in at the hotel.
    In the afternoon, visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy a boat cruise on Periyar Lake, where you may have the opportunity to spot elephants and other wildlife. Visit a spice plantation and local market. In the evening, enjoy a Kathakali Dance Show in Periyar.
    Overnight stay in Periyar.

    Day 02: Periyar – Alleppey Houseboat Cruise
    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Alleppey for your houseboat cruise.
    Board your traditional houseboat (Kettuvallam) around 12:00 PM. Enjoy a welcome drink and meet the crew. Begin your backwater cruise through narrow canals, paddy fields, waterways lined with coconut palms, and village areas.
    Enjoy freshly prepared Kerala lunch onboard.
    In the afternoon, continue cruising with opportunities to observe village life, local fishermen at work, and the surrounding landscapes.
    Enjoy tea/coffee with snacks in the evening and watch the sunset over the backwaters.
    The houseboat will stop for the night near a village area. Dinner and overnight stay on the houseboat.

    Day 03: Alleppey – Kochi Airport Departure
    Enjoy morning tea/coffee followed by a backwater cruise. Have breakfast onboard while cruising back towards Alleppey. Disembark from the houseboat by 09:00 AM.
    Proceed for your onward journey.
