This two-hour city tour in German through the west of Lisbon is suitable for anyone who is not (only) interested in Portugal's history, but above all in current events, the life of the Portuguese people and the current developments in the city.
You'll meet your guide in the famous “Pink Street” and explore the hip districts of Bica, Madragoa, São Bento and Princípe Real - those districts that, although a little away from the main tourist attractions, have undergone considerable change since the tourism boom and the influx of digital nomads .
Together we observe an interesting mix of Portuguese tradition, kept alive by historical architecture, long-established shops and residents, and the city's current transformation - characterised by modern cafés, restaurants, street art and galleries.
Special places we visit on the tour are the cool “Pink Street”, the large market hall “Mercado da Ribeira”, “Green Street” and the Parliament.
Your city guide will give you exciting insights into the developments that the city has undergone since the start of the tourism boom in 2012. We talk about current life in Portugal and highlight topics such as the housing market, Portugal's drug policy, family life in Portugal and much more.
There will be no shortage of tips for shopping, restaurant and bar visits in the hippest districts of the city and we will show you some of the most beautiful photo spots for beautiful photo memories to take home.
The end of the Lisbon tour in German is in the Princípe Real neighbourhood, where you can then spend time in a restaurant, shopping or relaxing in the park. The district is also a good starting point for further explorations of the city.
The maximum number of participants for our group experience is 12. Alternatively, you can book a private tour for you and your travel campanions.
