Amboseli is located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border. Amboseli National Park is recognised as Kenya’s designated biosphere reserve. The park’s iconic feature is the grand Mt. Kilimanjaro which provides a spectacular backdrop to the savannah plains and swamps that feature the park.

Amboseli National Park harbours a diverse range of wildlife including large herds of elephants that are seen against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli is famous for its elephant population which is the best studied in the world. Other animals frequently seen include; lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, wildebeests, hippos, gazelles, Dik-dik and Leopards
