A roughly 45 minute drive out of the town of St. George’s through the scenic hilly interior of the Grand Etang Rain Forest Reserve takes you on to the Balthazar Estate. First stop, Annandale falls, here you will enjoy the serenity of water cascading over the rocks, simply revel in the beauty and sounds of the falls or you can spend time in the surrounding gardens where tropical flowers and trees flourish. Second stop, Grand Etang National Park. Here you’ll be guided through the beautiful rainforest to the world’s famous Grand Etang crater Lake which is 1,800 feet (550 m) above sea level and one of the two crater lakes on the Island. At the Balthazar river tubing launch site, after the safety briefing you will be provided with your life jacket and a river tube. Wet, wild and wonderful, the guides will accompany you on the journey, gently spinning and swirling in the currents of the river, as you take in the exotic scenery of tropical vegetation and wildlife.
