If you book this experience, you’ll discover one of Quito’s most scenic and unique cycling routes: the Chaquiñán Trail. This former railway line has been transformed into a safe and beautiful bike path that runs through the valleys surrounding Quito. During the ride, travellers will cycle through impressive tunnels carved into the mountains, enjoy panoramic views of the Andean landscape, and experience the fresh mountain air away from the city traffic. The route is mostly flat with gentle downhill sections, making it suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. Along the way, we will make scenic stops for photos, short breaks, and local insights about the history of the railway and the surrounding communities.
