Knossos is the most famous site on Crete and a must-see for anyone who wants to see our beautiful island. The heart of an amazing old society can be found in Greece, on an interesting historical site. We can learn a lot about the site's first inhabitants, the Minoan people, who ruled the Mediterranean by looking into digs, local stories, and history records. Knossos is a very important landmark that shows how much of an effect a society had on history. There is a simple castle, a painted room, royal tombs, and a royal home there.
The royal hallways were called the Labyrinth because they were so complicated. According to storey, the Minotaur used to live in the Labyrinth. People are still amazed by the palace of Knossos on Crete because of its amazing architectural plan, the use of luxurious and expensive materials, the use of cutting-edge building and draining methods, and its huge size.
After our trip to Knossos Palace, we'll go to Patsides to visit the Minoan Farm, an olive oil mill. Visitors to this one-of-a-kind spot can try their delicious goods and look around their huge farm, which is filled with lots of Cretan flowers.
We go back to the city so we can take a stroll through the centre of Heraklion. If you want to make the most of your time in the capital of Crete, you can visit the Archaeological Museum to learn more about the island's past or just walk around and look at the beautiful ancient buildings. You can also check out the city's modern shops, grab a coffee at the famous Lion Square, or eat at one of the many traditional restaurants in the middle of the city.
