At around 9:30 a. m., the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Confucius Temple. Upon entering the temple, you can see a tall bronze statue of Confucius standing in front of the main hall. The main hall - the Dacheng Hall - houses the “Drawings of Confucius Saint Deeds”, which records Confucius' life. Next, move on to the Imperial Academy, where you can see stone tablets from the Ming and Qing dynasties and the plaque reading “The First School of the Southeast”, allowing you to experience the solemn atmosphere of the ancient Confucius Temple. As you stroll through this scenic spot, you can not only learn Confucius' educational concept, but also appreciate Nanjing's historical heritage as a major educational centre in the Jiangnan region.

Then, we will arrange for you to take a boat ride on the Qinhuai River. By taking a boat tour, you can enjoy a close-up view of the white walls, dark tiles, upturned eaves, and pavilions along both banks. Along the way, you will also pass historical sites such as Wende Bridge and Zhuque Bridge, experiencing the unique charm of the Jiangnan water town.

At noon, we will take you to have some local street foods (designated by us) like noodles or wontons. Furthermore, if you want to have a meal, we can arrange that for you, but you should pay for yourself.

Finally, we will head to Niushou Mountain. As one of the Four Great Scenic Spots of Nanjing, Niushou Mountain gets its name from its twin peaks standing side by side, resembling the horns of an ox. The Buddha Top Palace houses the world's only Buddha's cranial bone relic of Sakyamuni. This underground palace, hailed as a “new landscape of contemporary architectural art”, features a dome resembling the Buddha's Kasaya draped over the mountain. Furthermore, the magnificent Thousand-Buddha Hall and the Reclining Buddha are also extremely breathtaking.

At the end of the tour, the guide will escort you back to your hotel.
