What you can expect
Step inside a local Mexican home and spend an evening cooking, sharing stories, laughing together, and enjoying authentic cuisine with your hosts, Chef Sergio and Maria.
This experience is much more than a cooking class. It is an opportunity to discover Mexican hospitality from the inside, learn family recipes, experience local traditions, and spend time with people who genuinely enjoy sharing their culture.
Unlike large commercial cooking schools, this experience takes place in our home, creating a relaxed and personal atmosphere where guests can cook, learn, ask questions, and enjoy meaningful conversations.
Together we will prepare traditional Mexican dishes and discover the stories behind them. Depending on the season and ingredient availability, the menu may include regional specialities from Yucatán, Sergio's home state, such as panuchos and papadzules, as well as many other Mexican favourites.
To make the most of our time together, some ingredients are prepared in advance. However, you will actively participate throughout the experience and learn the techniques used to create each dish.
The evening is very interactive and relaxed. We love talking about Mexican culture, food traditions, daily life, travel recommendations, and the places we love throughout Mexico. There is always plenty of conversation, laughter, and cultural exchange.
Of course, there is also plenty of food. We always prepare generous portions, so we recommend having only a light lunch before joining us.
During the experience, you may enjoy traditional drinks such as margaritas, palomas, aguas frescas, local wine, or other regional drinks.
After cooking together, everyone gathers around the table to enjoy a full homemade Mexican dinner in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Vegetarian guests and travellers with dietary restrictions or food allergies are welcome. Please let us know your needs in advance and we will gladly adapt the menu whenever possible.
We are also flexible with starting times whenever possible. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to contact us before booking.
Whether you are visiting Mexico for the first time or have loved Mexican food for years, we will make you feel at home.
