Our journey continues to the legendary Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most spectacular fortified villages. Its earthen clay architecture and maze of narrow alleys have been used as a backdrop for many famous films and series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Kasbah Amridil

Drive to the lush oasis of Skoura, where palm groves stretch as far as the eye can see. You will visit the impressive Kasbah Amridil, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco and a living testimony of the region’s history, once featured on the country’s old 50-dirham banknote.
El Kelaa M'gouna

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Todgha Gorge

After breakfast, the journey continues through the breathtaking landscapes of southern Morocco until we reach the spectacular Todgha Gorges. Towering limestone cliffs rise up to 300 metres high, creating a dramatic canyon carved by the Todgha River. A gentle walk along the riverbed allows you to admire the sheer scale of the cliffs, observe local families and nomads bringing their herds to the water, and enjoy the cool shade of the gorge — a true natural wonder and a paradise for photographers.
Merzouga
Travel through Erfoud, known as the “Gate to the Desert” and famous for its fossil workshops and date palm groves. As the scenery changes, the golden dunes of the Sahara gradually appear on the horizon, signaling our arrival in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
In the late afternoon, you will embark on a camel ride across the rolling sand dunes, guided by the rhythm of the desert and the glow of the setting sun. The vastness of the Sahara, with its ever-shifting sands, creates a magical and unforgettable experience. As night falls, you will arrive at a luxury desert camp nestled in the heart of the dunes, where a traditional dinner awaits. The evening is spent under a star-filled sky, often accompanied by the rhythms of Berber drums around the campfire. Overnight in the desert camp.
Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

Errachidia

An early wake-up allows you to witness one of the most magical moments of the journey: the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. As the first light of day spreads across the golden sands, the desert reveals its calm beauty in ever-changing shades of orange and pink. After breakfast at the camp, we leave the Sahara behind and begin our journey north.
The road takes us through the magnificent Ziz Valley, where a ribbon of lush palm groves stretches along the river, framed by steep canyon walls. It is one of Morocco’s most beautiful valleys, offering spectacular views of traditional ksour (fortified villages) scattered among the date palms.
Azrou Cedar Forest

We continue to Midelt for lunch break, a mountain town set between the High and Middle Atlas ranges. Known as the “apple capital” of Morocco, Midelt is a refreshing stop where the cool mountain air contrasts with the desert heat left behind.
From here, the scenery changes as we travel through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary apes. You may spot these playful monkeys in their natural habitat, an enchanting moment that delights both children and adults.
Ifrane

The road then leads us to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture, clean streets, and surrounding cedar forests. With its European charm and fresh mountain air, it feels like a different world within Morocco.
Fes

In the late afternoon, we reach the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Famous for its blue-painted streets, charming squares, and relaxed atmosphere, Chefchaouen offers a perfect blend of Moroccan culture and natural beauty. Stroll through the Medina, explore local artisan shops, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance before overnight stay.
Day 8: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
