Know before you book

What you can expect

After hotel pickup in Bariloche, begin the journey towards the southern area of Nahuel Huapi National Park.

Continue along Lake Mascardi and cross the Manso River, a popular destination for white-water rafting. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of forests, rivers, and mountains surrounded by Patagonian scenery.

Stop at Pampa Linda, located at the foot of Cerro Tronador, where you will have free time for lunch (own expense) and to enjoy the natural surroundings.

The excursion also includes visits to some of the area’s most scenic spots, such as Playa Negra, Los Rápidos, the Isla Corazón viewpoint, and the impressive Ventisquero Negro, a unique dark-colored glacier formed by ice mixed with sediment.

Cerro Tronador, the highest mountain in the region at 11,500 feet (3,500 metres), is famous for its seven glaciers and for the thunderous sounds produced by falling ice, which gave the mountain its name.

Afterwards, relax on the return journey to Bariloche after a day surrounded by Patagonia’s spectacular scenery.
